San Mateo County has announced that this weekend, October 23rd and 24th, is the last weekend to enjoy the view from the Skyline Bridge. The contractor, Ferma Corporation, plans to close the road on Monday, October 25th in order to begin the demolition. The replacement bridge is scheduled for a 2013 completion. (The bridge is atop the Lower Crystal Springs Dam on Skyline Blvd. between Crystal Springs Rd. and Bunker Hill Dr.).

Vista Parking area, adjacent to the bridge and the southern trailhead of Sawyer Camp Trail, will also close next week.
