Hydroseeding Begins on Sawyer Camp Trail - Trail to Remain Open

This Thursday and Friday, October 11th and 12th, our contractor will begin hydroseeding along Sawyer Camp Trail. This is the first step in the process to restore vegetation following the seismic upgrades to the water system. The trail will remain open during this work.

One hydroseed truck and two water trucks will be present from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between the southern trailhead and the 2.6 mile marker. The water trucks will refill a few times per day at fire hydrants located on the trail.

All vehicle traffic on the trail will follow the 5 mph speed limit. Cyclists and roller bladers should use caution and travel slowly through the southern half of the trail.

We expect hydroseeding to continue every Thursday and Friday for the next four weeks. Trail closures may be necessary to complete the work. Please subscribe to this site to receive automatic email updates (see box at right).

The project team is making every effort to keep the trail open during the popular fall season. Please let us know how we are doing by posting a comment on this site. We can also be reached at peninsula@sfwater.org or (866) 973-1476.
